I started thinking the other day. I had drawn another picture of Star [link] , who was my alter ego when I was child, playing imaginary games with my best friend... Who would I be now?

This is her, or me (more specifically what I want to be), Siren. Tall and strong, elegant, graceful, powerful, and lethal. Deathly beautiful, a voice as sweet and smooth as honey.

18 hands. Form favoring an Andalusian/Arabian. Her horn is a double-edged blade. As for her magic, I'm not too certain yet, but you can easily assume she is rather adept in the fire element.

For original line work, click here: [link]

I wish I could do line work on the computer, but I have extraordinarily shaky hands... you should see me cutting fruit! Surprised I still have fingers. Eventually, I think I will learn to draw on PS without any outlines at all. Until then, here is the best I can do.

Download to see 300 dpi and full texture. Please tear this one up with criticisms, and any tips you have for PS. I would deeply appreciate it.

One day I'll eventually start doing backgrounds too. Think I'm going to incorporate her into my journal...

Ooh, I think she'd look nice on a side banner for your journal if you decide to put her there; just sweep the tail up and over instead ^^
And I love these colors!

I don't know how to do side banners!! :( Still been too lazy to look into CSS, but I think I might start tomorrow.

If it were html then I might be able to help, but I'm no good at CSS so that's why my journal's a boring grey block X3

I've been working with oil paints all week in art class, so the method of coloring and shading you used here seems to have a nice paint-like feel to me. In fact, I can't fault you in the coloring in the least. It's wonderful, in both the use of palette and the shading. I would however opt for digital line art until you can draw without the lines, but I can understand what you mean about your hands. Mine aren't exactly the paramount of steadiness either; so I'd suggest the pen tool for line art. If you haven't tried it already, I can link you some good tutorials. =3
From the coloring though, I can see you have an abundance of style! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I had a full neurological screening once... them trying to figure why I shake. I just colored another unicorn, but did the no outline method, and he turned out pretty good.

Thank you for your lovely comment! I'm glad you like it!

She's really lovely, and a perfect mate for Raven.

Do you have a Wacom tablet? I bet that'd make life really easy for you as far as drawing on the computer. I got one for Christmas and I'm in love with the thing. It's so easy to use!

I do have a tablet as a matter of fact, that is the only way I was able to get detail into her fur. I'm just stuck on the line art thing for the computer, but I'm going try out a tutorial on the pen tool on PS7 for the first time, probably tonight. *crossesfingers*

I'm glad you like her! She is perdy! :)

Marvelous job. I like these pics and the coloring is wonderfully done.
Watch your fingers when cutting fruit because I'd like to see more drawings.
