Please DO NOT bitch, complain, frowny face, moan, throw yourself on fiery coals if you do not like the results of this contest, or did not win. This contest was a massive challenge for myself to organize... don't make me regret it...
I must say that I have never had the hardest time judging anything before!

Everyone did so well it took me 3 days to decide winners once I got it down to *my* top twenty.

Thank you all so very much for participating and very special thanks for all those that donated prizes, without them, there would be no honorable mentions.

Also, it is my usual practice to say something about each piece... but with the entries totaling over 130, I hope you understand...
I hope everyone who participated found solace in giving their demon a face. I know that I gathered a strange sense of peace when I did, and was hoping some of you would feel the same, thus the major motivator behind the contest.
I will note all winners and prize donors individually, though I may not get it all in today.

Thank you all again!

WINNERS!!
First Place Popular Poll

Lienwyn snagged 15% of the votes in the final round and won the popular vote!

I must say I am proud of my voters.

The simplistic, smooth lines of her demon add an eeriness as it slinks for you, drooling blood and wanting more. Jealousy can be like that... this demon is not an opportunist... it takes hold of anything and everything it can get its slimy hands on... making you feel worthless in comparison to everyone else. The sheer honesty of her description I seriously believe aided in tipping the scales in her favor. Please go read if you haven't already. Nearly all of us have a little of this demon in us.

The reality behind this piece struck a cord with me. I must say that when I saw it, I knew it was going to place, either with me or popular poll (which he scored 3rd on by the way). I've always been curious about the psyche of an individual that is trained to hunt other humans, and this piece offers a rare glimpse. The description is simple but powerful, worth reading again. Another thing I am partial too that is used here is the texture. The different textures here, from the cloth on the gun, to the cammo material over the head and the leather gloves is just pure eye candy for me.

He is very new, with few watchers and page views. Please consider adding him to your watch list.

Nightpark got 14% of the popular votes to finish in a VERY close second place.

Wrath sits, chained up against a wall, waiting patiently for you to turn your back and forget he is there for just a moment. His fanged grin mocks you while his towering reflection shows you his true scale. This piece speaks volumes in how we think we have our demon under control, but it sits just below the surface biding its time. The use of color was an interesting and effective choice. Instead of the usual fiery colors, she went with a dark an depressing pallet, almost dirty. Makes the eye and smile shine even brighter. Go ahead... turn your back...

A demon I can seriously relate too and have been meaning to draw as well: Chaos. She seems to scream not in pain or fear, but as a form of release from the turmoil around her. It is all she has, all she can do as she kneels there. Her own demons mocking her from the darkness. Even her body is a mixture of so many textures and colors it is difficult to tell where one limb ends and another begins.

FliperDoodle01. I was like YESSSSS! I get to make a 3rd place!! And I did.

Khezix's piece is full of symbolism and worth taking a second look! Kazim (the rational one) flinches to take the blow from Iaza (the demon). In some of our worse moments I think we all have a little Iaza in us... blindly running about, not caring who she harms.

You can chain your demon and lock it away, but one day, you will still have to face it, or it will overtake you.

A demon that can destroy you with the lightest of words... finding your weak points with little trouble. She hides just out of view, and sometimes you won't see her coming.

Two demons that almost seem to neutralize one another, one driving you to revenge, one crippling you with depression. You stand between them, flinching as they get closer...
